Overview
This tag is used for works that depict characters blushing with emotion. The face does not necessarily have to be bright red, and can be just a blush on the cheeks. Sometimes the face is lined with slashes.
In illustrations, blushing is almost always treated as a kind of symbol to express embarrassment or shyness. The gender and age of the characters blushing vary, but most are relatively young. On the other hand, situations in which a character of a certain age and background blushes in a romantic relationship with a character of a different age or status can be said to be a classic gap moe.
