Overview
Learning (学習, gakushū) refers to the acquisition of knowledge, attitudes and behaviors to adapt to the environment by humans and other animals through imitation of parents and other familiar adults, hands-on experience, hearsay, etc. In particular, it refers to the systematic and planned learning of studies and skills by humans.
Study has a similar meaning, but this one has a stronger nuance of acquiring through effort at school or elsewhere.
Letting a machine (computer) do this is machine learning.
