Overview
A wall (壁, kabe) is part of the structure of a building, it is used to divide a space from the outside. It is installed parallel or close to the direction of gravity. In other words, it is generally considered to be "standing perpendicular to the ground".
A wall covering the exterior of a building is called an "outer wall" and a wall enclosing the interior of a building, i.e., a room, is called an "inner wall".
