Overview
Winter (冬, fuyu) is one of the four seasons and is one of the coldest of the year. The season is between autumn and spring. In Japan, it means December, January, and February.
In the lunar calendar, it is from October to December. In the 24 solar terms, it is from the first day of winter to the first day of spring.
In astronomy, it is from the winter solstice to the day before the vernal equinox.
