Bayonetta (ベヨネッタ) is the protagonist of the game series of the same name by Platinum Games.
Overview
Bayonetta (ベヨネッタ, Beyonetta) is the main character of the Bayonetta series, a sexy and crazy witch who uses handguns and magic to defeat her enemies.
Even though Bayonetta is usually found equipped with various firearms, she's a shapeshifting witch who can perform magical attacks, such as summoning a demon from her hair to dispatch her enemies. Her design was developed by Hideki Kamiya, who focused on creating Bayonetta as a strong woman with very long legs in order to appear as a fast, powerful and intelligent heroine while using her legs and body a lot during battle.
The character design of Bayonetta was done by Mari Shimazaki going by three traits Hideki asked for: a female lead, a modern witch, and to use four guns.
