Honkai Impact was initially released in China on October 14th, 2016, and then worldwide in multiple languages. In March 2018, IGN reported that the game gathered 35 million downloads globally and one million downloads in Japan alone in only 11 days after the release.
On earth, a catastrophe called "Honkai" (in Japanese ほうかい, lit. "collapse") is threatening mankind once again. Mankind has created a resistance organization called "Schicksal" in order to fight against the "Honkai Beasts", creatures that are a part of Honkai.
Players will build a team of Valkyries in order to fight against these creatures. During the battle, players can quickly change the fighting style by switching between the valkyries in their deck.
