Personality
Having gained fame for his alchemical talents, Albedo is a reclusive person, spending most of his time in Dragonspine. He isn't fond of most social interactions and thus rarely travels to the city of Mondstadt unless it is to meet up with his fellow alchemists or other acquaintances. Yet he's also shown to at least be fascinated or interested in them in some way, often willingly appearing in events that have some sort of social setting going on and helping out the people around him in any way he can. While he does seem to enjoy company and seeing how people interact in a social setting, he finds relationships stressful and tiresome because of the amount of effort needed to maintain them. This doesn't mean he dislikes the relationships he has with others, he simply struggles with them and can get tired out from trying to keep track of everything to keep the relationship from falling apart. He prefers being around children, especially Klee, seeing her as a younger sister. Klee (Genshin Impact) in turn sees him as an older brother figure.
Fueled by the feeling of enlightenment, he researches about the things that pique his interest, and once the feeling is gone, either by uncovering its truth or otherwise, he loses all interest, left with a bittersweet sensation in his mind. Along with his alchemical genius, Albedo is also a respectable artist. Having initially learned the talent as a way to help with his experiments, it is now a form of relaxation for him. He is Xingqiu (Genshin Impact)'s illustrator and regards him as a good author.
As much of a positive demeanor he gives off, the people of Mondstadt do not know anything about his personal life and he is particularly secretive about it towards them. To the Traveler, he does not mind sharing most of his secrets with them due to feeling a kinship of sorts as they are both not of Teyvat, him being an artificial lifeform and the Traveler a visitor from afar. He considers himself to be dangerous due to his knowledge on the Art of Khemia, something which Venti (Genshin Impact) and Dainsleif (Genshin Impact) are well too aware of.

Me and Albedo have a secret code! Whenever he puts a sign on his workshop door saying "Experiment in Progress," that's code for "Come back later, Klee." Albedo's really nice and he's so patient with me, so I don't mind waiting until he's finished with his work.
Every lizard has a different pattern on his back, and some of them you can use their dried-out tails to make gunpowder with. I know because Albedo told me so.
As his assistant I learn so much each and every day. What's key is not his existing knowledge, but his talented way of thinking. No matter how complex the task at hand, his way of thinking ensures he gets to the bottom of it, and is able to explain it thoroughly. His methodologies are amazing... to me, it's where alchemy meets art.
Talent? Let's hypothesize that he and I were to perform the same research — I'd still spend my whole life playing catch up. But, my studying bio-alchemy has nothing to do with evading his line of research, we just happen to have different interests and dreams — nothing more.
I don't dare talk to Master Jean that much, because she's so strict. I know she's a good person and all — I know that, I do — but... I still find her scary. I don't tend to bother her, and even when I have to... I ask Albedo to go on my behalf.
Sometimes I feel that terms like "genius" were originally created for Albedo.
Sucrose is also a rare talent in the field of alchemy. Under Albedo's mentorship, she is sure to flourish. I am sure her future will be bright. The only thing is... Ahem, I was momentarily lost in thought. It is nothing. Nothing bad, anyway.
I've thought of all the illustrations I want for each of the major event in the next three volumes! I should write my thoughts down before I forget them, and send them to Mr. Kreideprinz...
How do you explain white chalk in black soil, or the earth's dense crust amidst the emptiness of space? Same reason the purest soil gave birth to human life... It's an ancient power with unmistakable properties. Trying to harness it is dangerous indeed, I can't imagine what would happen if someone lost control of it in the city... Ah, never mind! What goes on within Mondstadt's walls is up to Mondstadt's people to deal with!
Albedo spends most of his time in his workshop, tinkering away with all of his awesome stuff. But, when you see him in person, you never can quite tell what he's thinking... Who knows what goes on in that mind of his...
Alchemy genius? Hmm... I wonder if he knows of a way to finally help me make a drink that people don't like?
Albedo, eh? Calm, collected, and incredibly talented. He's the type everybody likes, some even more so than others. What, you into him as well?
Albedo is quite the alchemist. Just say the word and he'll come up with a good solution. He's easy on the eyes too, just like you.
Albedo? Ah... I envy his ability to solely focus on his research without getting bogged down in mundane worldly affairs. What a wonderful life! If that batty old lady hadn't had one too many screws loose, perhaps that's the life I'd be living by now myself...
Ah yes, Klee - Alice's daughter. She's in the custody of the Knights of Favonius, and Albedo looks after her too. She's blessed to have Trifolium as her constellation, which represents good luck. I'm slightly envious... *smirk* Although, if I'd been blessed with good luck, I suppose I never would have had the great honor of running into that old woman, would I...
He's like an oil painting you find hanging on the wall in some ancient hall, profound and mysterious... hard to see through. But what can I say, I find people with stories... interesting.
Paimon: Those Onikabuto bugs look so scary! The patterns on their backs are terrifying!
(Traveler): Do you mean those demonic patterns? It's because they don't like to fight, so they purposely evolved their patterns in a way that scares their enemies away.
Paimon: That's really smart. We should try to learn a thing or two from them!
Paimon: We could borrow Xiao's mask. If a hilichurl saw you wearing it, do you think they'd run in fear?
(Traveler): Uh... I don't think Xiao would agree to that...
Paimon: Yeah... Hmm, how about we ask Sayu to steal his mask for us?
Paimon: She knows ninjutsu that allows her to vanish into thin air. She can steal it for sure! Problem solved!
Paimon: Uh... If we are afraid of Xiao evening the score with us, how about we steal Childe's mask? We've kicked his butt many times before!
(Traveler): I don't think stealing other people's belongings is a good idea. Also, what if Sayu doesn't agree to all of this?
Paimon: Th—Then let's... Let's visit Albedo first.
Paimon: If Albedo can develop a growth serum for Sayu, she'll help us for sure!
(Traveler): Brilliant, now we just need you to come up with a way to make Albedo help us.
Paimon: Ugh! Paimon's head is going to explode. Let's stick to festival masks for now.
Paimon: The blossoms drifting down from the Sacred Sakura are so dazzling!
Paimon: Paimon heard that those flower petals can stay suspended in the air for so long because of being infused with Electro.
(Traveler): Is it the same principle behind your levitation abilities?
Paimon: Uh... Ah...That's because...
(Traveler): You do know what allows you to fly, don't you, Paimon?
Paimon: Paimon can fly because of... mysterious powers, obviously!
(Traveler): Got it. Seems like you have no idea.
(Traveler): How about we let Albedo do some research? He's good at cracking such mysteries...
Paimon: Please don't!
