Overview
MapleStory (メイプルストーリー) is a 2D scrolling platform game by Nexon where the controls for the game are executed using the keyboard and mouse. The game started it's run on December, 2003.
Gameplay
The keyboard is used for many game functions, and users can customize them freely. The mouse is mainly used to trigger non-player characters and manipulate items. Like most MMORPGs, gameplay centers on venturing into dungeons and combating monsters in real-time, gaining experience and complete quests, acquire in-game currency, and various items. Aside from obtaining items, players can also craft them providing if their class allow them to.
Anime
The series was adapted of the game into an anime and produced by Madhouse. It was aired on TV Tokyo between October 7, 2007 and March 30, 2008, spanning 25 episodes.
