Overview
Alice Gear Aegis (アリス・ギア・アイギス, Arisu Gia Aigisu) is 3D shooting game distributed by Colopl, with development and operation handled by Pyramid. The protagonist is a newly appointed captain of the Naruko-zaka Manufacturing Plant, tasked with repelling the mechanical lifeform "Weiss." The captain leads a group of girls called "Actresses" who wear advanced dimensional weaponry called "Alice Gear" to battle against Weiss.
The game is available on iOS and Android devices. Starting from June 4, 2019, a version of the game by DMM GAMES has been available.
The character designs were created by Fumikane Shimada, Kanetake Ebikawa, and Takayuki Yanase, while the BGM composition was handled by ZUNTATA. As part of the collaboration, the characters were also made into figures for the figma and Megami Device brands, and guest designer Rei Hiroe also joined the team.
Starting from April 2023, a TV anime series titled "Alice Gear Aegis Expansion" has been airing. The animation production is by studio NoMad.
Gameplay
One of the selling points of the game is the customization feature, which allows players to attach multiple gears (equipment) to their characters. The gears that can be attached to characters include four types: Cross Gear (melee weapons), Shot Gear (ranged weapons), Tops (arm parts), and Bottoms (leg parts).
Additionally, there are exclusive gears that can only be equipped to certain characters.
Combat System
Combat is carried out by utilizing shooting attacks, melee attacks, Top Skills, Bottom Skills, and SP Skills. In addition to evasive actions and shooting while moving, there are also charge attacks and derived attacks through special operations. In solo play, players can form a party of three characters from their own collection and borrow one more character from a friend.
Story
You are the newly appointed captain of the small and medium-sized enterprise, Naruko-zaka Manufacturing Plant, which has been entrusted with the task of repelling the Weiss threat. This is a story of saving humanity wandering in space together with the "Actress" girls who are tasked with repelling the Weiss.
