Overview

Chack'n Pop (ちゃっくんぽっぷ, Chakkun Poppu) is a retro game by Taito, created in 1983. Its an action game on a fixed screen with platforming and some puzzle elements.

The main character Chack'n must rescue hearts by blowing up the cage in which hearts are trapped while defeating the enemy Monsta with bombs.

Some surfaces have blocks that can be destroyed by bombs, or what seems like water balloons (water flows out and accumulates at the bottom of the screen when blown up) and other gimmicks.

Incidentally, the enemies Monsta and Maita also appear in the Bubble Bobble series. Chack'n also appears in many of the company's games.
