Unyielding, storong-willed, and cheeky, she wonts to be number one at everything she does.
She usually plays the role of the perfect, mild-mannered honor student, but the truth is that she hates losing more than anything else.
If it'll help her be number one, she'll go through any training - no matter how grueling.
She sees her rather shwry roommate Vodka as both her motivation and her rival.
Character Introduction Diwa Scarlet
Overview
"Second-best won't cut it. Everything I do is for tha sake of being number one!"
Daiwa Scarlet is a Uma Musume, based on the real japanese racehorse "Daiwa Scarlet" (2006 - 2008).
In the TV anime series, she is a member of “Team Spica" , in which the main characters of the series are members.
In the web anime "Umayuru", she is one of the main characters.
In the app game, she appears as a tutorial character.
As you can see, she is one of the Uma Musume with a lot of media exposure.
She acts as a polite honor student in public. However, in the presence of those close to her, she reveals her true competitive and winsome nature.
On the other hand, she also has a shy side, and is unable to honestly show her affection for those whom she can show her true nature to, and she often acts as if she is angry with them.
In particular, she and her roommate Vodka are mortal rivals of the same generation, and no matter how trivial the issue, they always end up competing with each other.
Agnes Tachyon is an admired senior whom she looks up to.Tachyon is also supporting Scarlet in various ways, including providing her with a "safe" drug that she developed herself.

"Daiwa" is crown name (冠名 Kanmurimei) of horse owner Keizo Oshiro(President of Daiwa Co.,ltd).
Her father is Agnes Tachyon, who is also Uma Musume. Many of his children inherited his characteristics – strong, fast, and fragile.
Daiwa Major, winner of the 2004 Satsuki Shō, is her half-brother(Sire:Sunday Silence).
He also won the 2006 Tennou-sho(autumn) and back-to-back Mile Championship in 2006 - 07.
Daiwa Scarlet ran 12 races in her career, winning 8 and finishing 2nd 4 times. In other words, she was never out of the Quinella ticket. That is why she was given the catchphrase"Miss Perfect".
Of all the horses that have finished in the top two all their lives, 12 races is the most in Japan for a mare.
This is because she had a fierce personality that wanted to go to the front no matter what. She was a competitive horse who never responded to her jockey's instructions and always had nothing but the lead in her mind.
Her biggest rival is the mare Vodka of the same generation. She was the first mare to win the Japanese Derby in 64 years.
