Cygames Inc. is a Japanese video game software development company, a subsidiary of CyberAgent and DeNA.
The company was founded in May 2011; since 2016 it has also entered the animation production business; in 2021 it celebrated its 10th anniversary.
It is a consolidated subsidiary of CyberAgent and has an equity method relationship with DeNA. On 6 February 2015, it also established Citail, a new subsidiary specialising in the development of game titles; in 2018, it entered into a capital tie-up with Nintendo in relation to the joint development of Dragalia Lost, making Nintendo the third largest equity shareholder after CyberAgent and DeNA.
It develops mainly social network games and smartphone application games for DeNA's Mobage, Ameba and DMM.

The president of the company is from Saga Prefecture and has a will to enliven the declining Saga area, and several of the titles produced are related to Saga, including Yuri on ICE and Zombie Land Saga, as well as Saga's football team, Sagan Tosu.
TV programs
Since its founding, the company has launched a large number of TV commercials, and since 2015 it has achieved single-company sponsorship of variety show programs.
Video Research announced commercial trends for the first three days of the New Year 2017, and the number of commercials by company ranked third after Suzuki and Daihatsu. Incidentally, if the number of commercials of Starlight Stage is added to those of Cygames, it is calculated to be far ahead of second place and below.
Comedy award programs
After gaining sponsorship of the M-1 Grand Prix at the end of 2015, the company became the title sponsor of THE MANZAI in the same year and the R-1 Grand Prix and King of Conte the following year, achieving complete sponsorship of major comedy award competition programs.
Sagan Tosu
A J-League football team whose home town is Tosu City, Saga Prefecture, with which Cygames has had a sponsorship contract since the summer of 2015. The Starigh-Tosu-Stage event is a collaboration with the Cinderella Girls.
