Personality
She is aloof and mischievous, but somewhat elusive. She speaks bluntly and with a distinctive tone of voice. She likes tarot cards and has the ability to predict the future.
She is one of the two most skilled flying aces in the frigid country of Suomus, and is a Witch so skilled that she has been described, together with the other Captain Hanna Wind, as 'Hanna the marksman, Eila the evader'. She is very dexterous in combat, and can perform her role in both the vanguard and rear guard, day and night. In particular, she is the best in her unit at avoiding attacks, and has never been shot down or even hit. The top flying ace in the squadron, Erica Hartmann, has said: 'I can't do that either'.
The Suomus forces where she came from were a poor military force, and received support from European countries, including the Suomus Volunteer Independent Flying Squadron in 1939. Therefore, when the 501st Joint Fighter Wing requested reinforcements from Suomus, she was promoted to Pilot Officer and assigned to the 501st on the grounds that 'we will send our best witch to thank them for the support they have given us'.
Despite her usual elusive behaviour, she is very fond of Sanya V. Litvyak, a witch from Orussia, and shows feelings that go beyond friendship. She also has a spineless side to her, in that she is too precious to develop a relationship with her. Once she becomes conscious of her, she loses her cool to the level of a middle-school child.
She wants to help find for Sanya's missing parents when the world is at peace.
She is also a former colleague of Flight Sergeant Nikka Edvardine Katajainen, known as 'Nipa', of the 502nd Joint Fighter Wing, with whom she is still on close terms.
In addition to this, Captain Aurora E. juutilainen, leader of the Striker Unit Recovery Team of the 502nd Joint Fighter Wing, is her own elder sister.
