Overview編集

Hanna-Barbera (ハンナ・バーベラ), established in 1944, was started as a private business by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, who had produced Tom and Jerry and other works in the animation division of MGM, a motion picture company.

Initially, the company was called H-B Enterprises and was contracted to do work outside of MGM (commercials, etc.).

When MGM closed its animation division in 1957, the two moved their activities to their own company.

In 1960, the company changed its name to Hanna-Barbera Productions.

Since then, they have produced popular series such as Wacky Races, which is well-known in Japan.
