Lapis Lazuli (ラピス・ラズリ, Rapisu Razuri) is a gem that appeared in episode 25 (broadcast 13). The main body (gem) is located on her back. She is mainly known as just Lapis.
She has the ability to manipulate water and can fly in the atmosphere and outer space by forming water wings out of her gem.
Originally a non-combatant, she was involved in the Gem War and her wounded body was sealed in a handheld mirror. That mirror later passed into the hands of Crystal Gems and was kept by Pearl.
She harbors deep resentment and distrust toward Crystal Gems for imprisoning her for so long (although Crystal Gems did not know that Lapis' ego was still intact).
