Margatroid (マーガトロイド, Māgatoroido) is the surname of Alice Margatroid, a Touhou Project character. The original surname name just Alice at the time of her very first Touhou Project appearance, that being in Mystic Square. While this is not a real name in real life, it comes from the surname Murgatroyd. While it can also be spelled as Murgatroid (where the second letter is an "u" than an "a"), it is believe her name comes from the character Miss Murgatroyd from A Murder Is Announced.
