Her character is not to be confused with her alternative existence, Sakura Li (or Princess Tsubasa).

She is voiced by Sakura Tange.

Personality

Sakura is an extremely energetic and cheerful character. She is also atheletic, being one of the excellent runner in her school. She also took part in cheerleading abilities.

Her "invicible spell", "Everything will surely be all right." (「絶対大丈夫だよ。」 "Zettai daijōbu da yo.") has carried her through innumberable trials and obstacles as she masters her magical skills. Aside from being energetic and cheerful, she is also naive and sometimes clumsy, dense and clueless. She is also sharp and has her own perceptive movements on occasion.

Given her cheeful character, she is very friendly with everybody. Adding with her trustworthy and optimistic characteristics, her friendliness allows her to be friendly to everyone she met, be it strangers, loose acquaintances, or even rivals. Her personality is a dominating factor in her relationships, especially with Syaoran Li. Though sometimes she's quite gulliable and believes what everyone tells her. Her charm and her positive, earnest attitude can win anyone.

She's very scared of ghosts. She became scared of ghosts because her brother who could see spirits would usually point them out. But however she has no fear of Clow Cards due to the fact she found out that the ghost in the park is actually a Clow Card. She is known to be clueless about things relating to herself but perceptive of others. Though she is secretive when she finds out information about her friends and usually keeps quiet about it.

Powers and Abilities

Power Level : Her powers was seen to be weak at first, but gradually turn stronger once she captures more and more Clow Cards, increasing her magical ability. The second half of the series shows how inexperienced Sakura was as she often collapses after transforming the cards. However she is shown to be progressively proficient in controlling the Clow Cards into Sakura Cards, becoming less tired and more aware of Clow Reed's presence. She is also shown to be able to transform the remaining eight Clow Cards into Sakura Cards at once.

Origin : At one point, Clow Reed tells her that her magic seems to be drawn from the power and ability of the stars, which may start small, but are ever-shining with their own brilliant light. However it should be noted that like Clow Reed's magic, Sakura's is a balance of sun and moon magic.

Clow Cards : Sakura's main weapon is the Clow Cards. Originally having their own magic, but had to be transformed so that they can draw their power from Sakura.

Weapons : She holds the Sealing Wand, a staff of a meter on length. It allows magical people to seal escaped cards & transform Clow Cards. During the course of the story, the wand itself changed into multiple forms.

• Dormant Form : When not in use the staff reverts to its dormant (or key) form. When the Staff is in its dormant form it has the power to unlock any door that has been magically sealed by the Lock and is the only known way to draw out this card's true form.

• Card Forms : Sometimes certain cards naturally manifest when activated by the user by combining with the Staff. The only two cards known to do this are the Sword, which changes the staff into a rapier, and the Fly which increases the size of the staff's wings tenfold so that one can fly on it like witches do with broomsticks.

• Star Form : This form retained all the powers of the old one but also gave Sakura the power to change the cards into Star Cards.

• Guardian Form : This form had all the abilities of the old star form but had much more magical power.
