Theropoda (恐竜類) are one of the subclassifications of the Saurischia.
Birds are also classified in this taxon. They have well-developed legs, and almost all species are bipedal. Even excluding birds, this taxon includes a wide variety of species, from the largest land carnivores such as Tyrannosaurus, to small, active groups such as Velociraptor and Stenonychosaurus, as well as fish-eaters such as Spinosaurus, and Therizinosaurus that have evolved into plant-eaters.
