    Dogs (犬, inu), also known as domestic dogs is the name for a group of domesticated animals in the canidae family of the mammalian order carnivora that originated from wolves, and is one of the most familiar animals as a pet.

    It is one of the earliest domesticated animals in the history of mankind. It is believed that wolves were originally used as hunting assistants, and even today, many dogs are trained to support human society as guide dogs and police dogs.
