Overview
Due to the possibilites, There are 2 definitions for monster girls.
- Girls that are depicted as a female version of any fantasy monsters (e.g: Harpy, Succubus, and so on). These girls are not human, but are naturally monsters.
- Anthropomorphism of most female monsters/devils. In other words, a character mascot, or gijinka
Types of Monster Girl Characters
- Lamia……Human + snake
- Mermaid……Human + fish
- Harpy……Human + bird with winged arms
- Sphinx……Human + Lion, eagle wings
- Siren……Human + bird (or sometimes, fish)
- Scylla……Human + tentacles (Refer to Wikipedia for the article)
- Alraune……Human + flower
- Mandragora（Mandrake）……Human + plant with flower head
- Arakune……Human + spider
- Centaurus……Human + horse (this applies to male counterparts as well.)
- Slime Girl……Characters covered with slime
- Monoeye……Characters with single eye
- Beast Ears……Girls with ears that are beast type. Not necessarily representing a specific animal, and comes with variety.
