Overview
Dead or Alive (デッドオアアライブ, Deddo oa Araibu), or DOA is a franchise by Tecmo and Team Ninja starting out as a fighting game. Currently, there are five full-length titles (numbered titles) set in a world fighting tournament named "Dead or Alive" and three spin-off titles in the Xtreme series, which are beach games played by the female characters from the main series (naturally, all characters wear swimsuits because of the beach setting).
Besides games it also had a movie in 2006 titled DOA: Dead or Alive made by a international co-production.
