Overview
Tails (テイルス, Teirusu), real name Miles Prower (マイルス・パウアー, Mairusu Pauā) is an anthropomorphic fox who can fly with his two tails, leading to his plural use of his nickname. Sometimes he is referred to as Tails the Fox.
His real name is a pun on miles per hour adding onto the theme of speed in the Sonic series, yet he creates the image of flying freely and slowly in the sky, in contrast to Sonic, who runs around the ground at the speed of sound.
