Overview
Spy x Family is a Anime/Manga series created by Tatsuya Endo and it is currently serialized in Shueisha's Shōnen Jump+, animated by WIT STUDIO and CloverWorks.
Spy × Family series follows the fake marriage of Loid Forger (a spy) and Yor Forger (an assassin) as well as their adoptive daughter Anya Forger who can read minds.

Synopsis
Everyone has a part of themselves they cannot show to anyone else.
At a time when all nations of the world were involved in a fierce war of information happening behind closed doors, Ostania and Westalis had been in a state of cold war against one another for decades.
The Westalis Intelligence Services' Eastern-Focused Division (WISE) sends their most talented spy, "Twilight," on a top-secret mission to investigate the movements of Donovan Desmond, the chairman of Ostania's National Unity Party, who is threatening peace efforts between the two nations.
This mission is known as "Operation Strix."
It consists of "putting together a family in one week in order to infiltrate social gatherings organized by the elite school that Desmond's son attends."
"Twilight" takes on the identity of psychiatrist Loid Forger and starts looking for family members. But Anya, the daughter he adopts, turns out to have the ability to read people's minds, while his wife, Yor, is an assassin! With it being in each of their own interests to keep these facts hidden, they start living together while concealing their true identities from one another.
World peace is now in the hands of this brand-new family as they embark on an adventure full of surprises.

Loid Forger
Not fit to be a spy? No. The mistake was endangering that child in the first place. How did I not see that? Making a world where kids don’t need to cry... That was the whole reason... I became a spy in the first place.
Loid Forger (ロイド・フォージャー) is the protagonist of the SPY x FAMILY series. He had discarded everything about his past to work for his country as an undercover spy who acts under the codename "Twilight" (黄昏たそがれ, Tasogare).
For his current mission, he is required to marry and have a child. Thus, he enters a marriage with Yor Briar and becomes the adoptive father of Anya Forger.
Yor Forger
I don't need to be at peace. I don't care if I have to bloody my hands. Even if it means living a life that could end at any moment... Even if it means having to leave the Forger family... I think Loid would respect that. He would understand. That's why I won't give up this fight!
Yor Forger (ヨル・フォージャー) is the tritagonist of the SPY x FAMILY series. While she works as an ordinary clerk at Berlint City Hall, she also leads a secret life as a Garden assassin with the code name "Thorn Princess" (いばら姫, Ibara-hime).
She and Loid Forger get married to fulfill their separate goals, with the former becoming the adoptive mother of Anya Forger.
Anya Forger
I have to hide my power too. If he finds out I can read minds... I'll have to run away.
Anya Forger (アーニャ・フォージャー) is the deuteragonist of the SPY x FAMILY series. Formerly known as Test Subject "007", she is a telepath whose abilities were created in an experiment conducted by an unknown organization.
She is a student in Cecile Hall at Eden Academy and the adopted daughter of Loid Forger and Yor Forger.
Bond Forger
Bond Forger (ボンド・フォージャー) is the pet of the Forger Family. Formerly known as Subject 8, Bond was used for experiments that resulted in him gaining precognition abilities.
Damian Desmond

Damian Desmond (ダミアン・デズモンド) is the second son of Donovan Desmond and a first-year student at Eden Academy being part of Cecile Hall, Group 3.
Becky Blackwell
You and I should be best friends. After all, I'm the only one who knows how great you are!
Becky Blackwell (ベッキー・ブラックベル) is the daughter of the CEO of Blackbell Heavy Industries, a major military manufacturer. She attends Eden Academy as part of Cecile House, Group 3, and is Anya Forger's best friend.
Henry Henderson
Elegance is at the root of tradition. Elegance is what will bring about a better world.
Henry Henderson (ヘンリー・ヘンダーソン) is a history teacher and the housemaster of Dormitory 3, Cecile Hall at Eden Academy.
Franky Franklin
I already told you once, you gotta keep your emotions out of this. If you value your life, never trust anyone. That’s just how people like you and me gotta live.
Franky Franklin (フランキー・フランクリン) is an informant who seemingly works at a tobacco store as a front. He gets information regarding Eden Academy's exam and Anya Forger's past records for Loid Forger.
Sylvia Sherwood
Sylvia Sherwood (シルヴィア・シャーウッド), also known as Handler or the Fullmetal Lady, is Twilight's main contact at WISE.
Yuri Briar
Unlike you, I love my family. I love my sister. And I will do whatever it takes to protect this country that she lives in.
Yuri Briar (ユーリ・ブライア) is Yor Forger's younger brother and works in the State Security Service. He keeps his job at the SSS a secret from his sister and instead pretends to be a normal civil servant at the foreign ministry.
Fiona Frost
What a wonderful man you are, Twilight. I'll achieve peace between East and West. And I’ll do it all for you.
Fiona Frost (フィオナ・フロスト) is a spy for WISE who acts under the codename Nightfall (夜帷とばり, Tobari). She works undercover as an assistant to Loid Forger at Berlint General Hospital to provide him with mission details.
Donovan Desmond
Our children may share our blood, but they aren’t us. They’re essentially strangers. It is impossible to understand strangers. In the end… people will never truly be sympathetic with each other.
Donovan Desmond (ドノバン・デズモンド) is the Chairman of the National Unity Party of Ostania and Twilight's current target. He is the main antagonist of the series.
History
Before making SPY x FAMILY, Tatsuya Endo published three one-shots for Jump Square; “Rengoku no Ashe”, “Ishi ni Usubeni, Tetsu ni Hoshi” which was written about Medusa’s child, and “I SPY”. Tatsuya Endo's editor Shihei Lin noted that SPY x FAMILY takes on the strengths of these titles. Lin said that reception from the editorial department was so good that its serialization was practically decided before the actual meeting.
The initial draft was given a working title of "Spy Family" written in Japanese characters before they decided to put the name in English characters with a cross between the words, inspired by the manga series HUNTER x HUNTER.
On September 19, 2019, Viz Media announced that starting September 22, 2019, they would be officially be translating the series to English and release it in Viz's Shonen Jump. Viz Media announced the release of translated physical volumes for Summer 2020.
On June 4, 2021, the first 3 volumes of the digitally colored version of the manga were released in Japan. Volumes 4 to 6 were released on November 4, 2021.
On March 3, 2022, a set containing the first 3 volumes as well as a bookmark for each volume's cover character was released in Japan.
