hololive En first appeared in September 2020 with the first generation of Vtubers, also known as holoMyth, including 5 VTubers.
Project: HOPE followed in July 2021, introducing IRyS, a VSinger.
In August 2021, the 2nd generation debuted, introducing 5 new characters, members of the so-called holoCouncil.
holoCouncil
Also known as Hololive English 2nd Generation, the Council is the second (third, if counting Project: HOPE) wave of VTubers under Hololive English. Ahead of its reveal, the Hololive English YouTube channel uploaded 2 teaser videos, narrated by IRyS, which provided background information on the generation's story.
