The 2003 Invasion of Iraq (codenamed Operation Iraqi Freedom by the US, Operation Telic by the UK and the Decisive War by Iraqi officials) was a US-led invasion of Bathist Iraq. The US's reasoning for invasion was the allegations of Iraq possessing 'Weapons of Mass Destruction' although such allegations may have been false. The invasion is still controversial to this day.
