Overview
The Bandai Namco Filmworks (バンダイナムコフィルムワークス) is a comprehensive video production company that unites the unique brands of the Bandai Namco Group, handling video production, animation production, video labels, video streaming services, and other operations.
As part of the Bandai Namco Group's New Medium-Term Management Plan, which began on 1 April 2022, this company was established by merging the video division of BANDAI NAMCO Arts (BN Arts) and BANDAI NAMCO Rights Marketing (BANDAI Channel), with Sunrise as the surviving company.
At the same time, Sunrise Music, a subsidiary of the former Sunrise and involved in the music business, will merge with the music division of BN Arts and Bandai Namco Live Creative, and change its name to "Bandai Namco Music Live" on the same day.
Following this reorganisation, "Sunrise" will continue as a brand name (the name for planning (企画), original works (原作) and animation production (アニメーション“制”作) will be "Sunrise", while the name of production (“製”作) will be "Bandai Namco Filmworks"). In addition, Bandai Namco Pictures, which was split off before the establishment of the company, will continue to exist as a subsidiary.
