Overview
The Brave series (勇者シリーズ, Yūsha shirīzu) is developed by Takara (currently Takara Tomy) to promote robot toys for boys. When the Transformers TV series came to an end, the company approached Sunrise with the idea of creating a robot animated series that would utilize the know-how gained from the Transformers series. The name Brave was given to the series in honor of Sunrise's first robot animation broadcast 15 years earlier.
