Overview
Chao (チャオ Chao) are a mystical, genderless, and cute species from the Sonic the Hedgehog series that act like a virtual pet for the player in the Adventures and Advance series.
They seem to be like a mascot character of the Sonic series, but thier cuteness has led them to make guest appearances not only in the Sonic series, but also in other Sega titles such as Phantasy Star and Shenmue. Their first and major appearance was in Sonic Adventure. While they are called Chao, adding a "S" to the end of the alphabet, their name would be......?
