Chikagi Katsuragi (桂木千鍵) also nicknamed as Midori (みどり) is a mascot of the now defunct TYPE-MOON's mobile site and the main character of Mahou Tsukai no Hako. She is an employee of the coffee shop Ahnenerbe, which often appears in TYPE-MOON's works.
She is a 16-year-old high school girl who, after entering the school, is teased by Hibiki Hibino, with whom she eventually becomes friends, and begins working part-time at Ahnenerbe at her invitation.
Appearance
She has green hair and at first, she wore her hair down, but changed it to having pigtails for a makeover as suggested by Hibiki. Her green eyes are like her hair but with a darker tone.
Her green hair made fans nickname her as Midori (the colour green) with her officially getting called that various times in the Mahou Tsukai no Hako Drama CD.
Personality
She is self-indulgent and blunt, and her attitude toward customers is unfriendly. However, she is a good-natured person at heart and is easy to get along with.
She has a reputation for being a tsundere, but she denies it.
Although she is unaware of it, her cooking skills are not very good, so she is exclusively in charge of cleaning the hall.
When she first entered the school, she felt inferior to her older sister, Chidori Katsuragi, to whom she was constantly compared, and she avoided getting along with others by pretending to be taciturn and cool because of the obstructive behavior of Serena Sarashina, who would not allow her to make friends with anyone other than herself.
She does not eat many vegetables, but when mixed into a hamburger steak, she will eat it without noticing. She does not like pumpkins but likes pumpkin pie. Full of receipts from convenience stores are also carried by her.
Relationships
Hibiki Hibino
Although she is too shy to admit it, she is fond of Hibiki, which is the reason why she is so firmly committed to her even though she is appalled by her words and actions. According to the Magical Ruby, "liking" Hibiki is a feeling similar to "love".
Mr. Cellphone
His every word and action is annoying to Chikagi, so when she gets involved with Mr. Cellphone, she smashes him down nine times out of ten.
Sunao Sugata
Classmate and best friend though Chikagi herself denies it.
Serena Sarashina
They have known each other since junior high school, but they don't think well of each other.
Chidori Katsuragi
Chikagi's older sister. She is seen as too perfect that it gives Chikagi a inferiority complex.
Abilities
Although being an ordinary person, she occasionally has strange dreams. She is often described as "opening" boxes and doors, and Marie Muller describes her as "the only key that opens the door to the labyrinth," but "it doesn't seem to be some kind of magic.".
