Overview

Chiori is the boss of the Chioriya Boutique - a fashion label located in Fontaine. Though it may seem unassumingly small, you'll notice that passersby often stop to peer in. People say that its boss Chiori hails from Inazuma, and that she is as direct as a bolt of lightning. They know what happens to those who insist on interfering with her business, having witnessed the fallout with their own eyes. Not only do such meddlers invariably end up tasting the bitterness of defeat, but some of them — for the very first time in their lives — learn what it feels like to be thrown backside-first into the gutter... literally.

What sort of background and upbringing gives a foreign fashion designer the confidence to act so boldly? This is the question that local journalists ask one another when they hear or witness such spectacles, their eyes wide with amazement. They're constantly on the hunt for anecdotes that might shed some light on her past, some even having traveled all the way to Inazuma to secretly interview her friends, family, and former tailoring mentor...

Obstinate, headstrong, and disobedient from a young age, even daring to forgo honorifics when addressing her elders... overall, not a particularly positive picture.

Chiori's parents alone would let out a smile, saying that she just has "a unique way of thinking" and is "single-mindedly devoted to the pursuit of her dreams."

"Miss Chiori, may I ask... How did you manage to achieve such success? And what are the secrets to designing such wonderful clothes?"

Sitting opposite, Chiori began to put away her needle and thread as she stared coldly back at this journalist masquerading as a customer.

"I make whatever I wish to, however I wish to. How about you then — are you planning to buy anything or not?"

• Normal Attack: Weaving Blade

1. Normal Attack: Combo up to 4 sword strikes and dealing Physical Damage to enemies.
2. Charged Attack: Consumes Stamina and performs two swift slashes to her front, dealing Physical Damage.
3. Plunging Attack: Plunges from the air to the ground and deals AoE Geo Damage on impact.

Chiori dashes forward and performs an upward sweep and dealing AoE Geo Damage to nearby enemies based on her ATK and DEF, then summons the automaton doll "Tamoto" beside her (hold her Elemental Skill to enter Aiming Mode).

Tamoto

1. Periodically slashes at nearby enemies and dealing AoE Geo Damage based on Chiori's ATK and DEF.
2. While "Tamoto" is active, if a Geo Construct is present nearby or if one is created, an additional "Tamoto" will be summoned to the active character's side. Only 1 additional "Tamoto" may be summoned in this way and the duration of each Tamoto is calculated independently.

• Elemental Burst: Hiyoku: Twin Blades

Chiori unsheathes her twin blades and dealing AoE Geo Damage based on her ATK and DEF.

• 1st Ascension Passive: Tailor-Made

For a short period after Chiori performs her Elemental Skill's upward sweep, tapping her Elemental Skill again will trigger the "Tapestry" effect. If instead Chiori taps her Normal Attack after performing her Elemental Skill's upward sweep, then the effect triggered is "Tailoring".

Tapestry

1. Switches to your next party member.
2. Grants all of your own party members the "Seize the Moment" effect: When your active character's Normal, Charged, or Plunging Attack strikes an enemy, this effect causes "Tamoto" to execute a coordinated attack that deals AoE Geo Damage at the enemy's location. Damage dealt in this way is considered Elemental Skill Damage.
3. "Seize the Moment" lasts 8 seconds, and 1 of "Tamoto"'s coordinated attack can be unleashed every 2 seconds. 2 such coordinated attacks can occur per "Seize the Moment" effect duration.

Tailoring: Chiori gains Geo infusion for 5 seconds.

Tailoring will also be triggered automatically after a short time if Chiori remains on the field after performing her Elemental Skill's upward sweep but neither taps her Elemental Skill nor her Normal Attack.

• 4th Ascension Passive: The Finishing Touch

When a nearby party member creates a Geo Construct, Chiori will gain 20% Geo Damage Bonus for 20 seconds.

• Utility Passive: Brocaded Collar's Beauteous Silhouette

When Chiori is in the party, if any party member is wearing an outfit other than their default outfit or a wind glider other than Wings of First Flight; your own party members will obtain the "Swift Stride" effect, which increases their Movement SpeedThis Talent does not take effect in Domains, Trounce Domains, or the Spiral Abyss.

While I was still in Inazuma, there was a cat with green eyes that always liked to follow me whenever I went out into the wild in search of inspiration. The kitty seemed to be very interested in the colors and patterns of the fabric I was carrying. She would even come up and rub her head against my legs when she was in a good mood.

Later, I recognized those green eyes again, but on a girl with two tails. The way she gazed at new and intriguing things still had not changed after so many years.

• Kamisato Ayaka

If I wasn't always slipping away to go play when I was a child, I probably would never have had the chance to meet the young lady of the Kamisato Clan. There was one time when I climbed my way into the Kamisato Clan's courtyard, and her Temari just happened to roll over towards the wall. I could tell that she was both surprised and happy to see me. We played together and chatted for quite some time, but I was discovered in the end. And so, our brief friendship came to an end as I was kicked off the premises.

• Navia

She used to beg me to help her design all kinds of strange things. For example, little crowns for every handle on a ship's helm... I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her request, and tell her that the most I would do is design her hat like a boat.

Those who say I'm ahead of my time have clearly never spoken to her.

I can't make a hat that could hide secrets, but it seems Lyney can enchant his hat to do just that... I'm a little curious about how it feels to wear a hat full of so many tricks and secrets like his. As for me, I don't need the burden of all that, it's easiest to just say what's on my mind.

I let Eloffe secretly spray the perfume in the fitting room, and then I'll let her know any feedback I get from the customers. Even after all this time, I've never once had a customer ever say that my fitting room smelled strange. In fact, they usually come one after another to ask where they can buy the fragrance. Out of curiosity, I always buy a bottle when she brings them to sell in her shop. I have to say that such fragrances which can always bring a sense of refreshment are truly works of art.
