The F-14B 'Bombcat' was the 2nd major F-14 variant built by Grumman. Originally designated as the F-14A+, the F-14B was renamed during the 1990s. The F-14B was exclusively used by Atlantic Fleet squadrons after the 1991, with VF-74 and VF-103 being to first to use them in the Gulf War.
