The F-14 Tomcat is an fighter interceptor that was used by the US Navy between 1972 and 2006 and is currently used by Iran.

• F-14A Tomcat - Original variant with Pratt & Whitney TF30 engines.
• F-14A+ (later F-14B) Tomcat - First version to use General Electric F110 engines.
• F-14D Super Tomcat - Final variant, introduced glass cockpit and new digital avionics.

• The F-14A appears in all three versions of Area 88.
• The F-14A appears in both Top Gun (1986) and Top Gun: Maverick (2022).
• F-14s make recurring appearances in The Silent Service manga and the 2nd episode of the OVA.
• A fictional variant called the F-14A++ Kai appears in the first episode of the 2002 OVA series Macross Zero.
• The F-14 has appeared in most Ace Combat games
