The F-80 Shooting Star is a Multi-role fighter originally called the P-80. It was developed for the USAAF before being employed by it's successor, the USAF. During the Korean War, the F-80 would be involved in the first jet vs jet dogfight with a Soviet flown MiG-15, despite both aircraft not being shot down.
