Overview
On Pixiv, bookmark tags are generally added by users to tag posts with the corresponding milestone number of bookmarks. The bookmark tags are often used to find popular posts via the site's search engine. However, some posts in the results may have a misleading amount of bookmarks than what the bookmark tag would otherwise indicate.
Normally, responsible user(s) may remove and/or replace the bookmark counter tag to prevent other users from making the same mistake. But sometimes, it may be locked from removal. In this case, the "fake bookmark number tag" (虚偽users入りタグ) can be used to tag posts with the misleading amount of bookmark numbers.
The cause of these misleading bookmark tags is due to authors often placing these bookmark tags on their own, then locking these tags to prevent other users from adjusting them as a means to ensure that people will see their works. Putting bookmark tags on their own work is highly frowned upon because this is considered search obstruction.
This moderation tag is not entirely foolproof, but the tag is there for use in the search engine to circumvent at least some of the fake popular posts.
