Female youkai (女妖怪) refers to ghost-like or monster-like women from Japanese folk lore.
Female youkai (女妖怪) includes those who look almost human, such as yuki-onna and futakuchi-onna, and those who look more human-like, such as penanggalan and rokurokubi. There are also many animal yokai, such as the bakeneko cat and the jorougumo.
