Overview
Yuki-onna (雪女) is a snow youkai. Although most yokai have the appearance of beautiful women, there are also some that look like old women or other non-humans.
The traditional style is monotone, with white skin, white clothing, and black hair, but in recent works, yuki-onnas are often depicted with white or light blue hair.
Lafcadio Hearn's (Koizumi Yakumo) Yuki-Onna is one of the most famous literary works featuring a yuki-onna.
