Japan Railways Group or the JR Group (JRグループ) is a rail company that manages rail transport across Japan. JR took over Japan National Railways on 1 April 1987. Like its predecessor, JR operates the Shinkansen High Speed Rail Network.
Divisions
JR Rail is divided into seven groups.
