Overview
The Kirby numbering series (星のカービィナンバリングシリーズ, Hoshi no Kābyi nanbaringu shirīzu, lit. "Kirby of the Stars numbering series") refers to the titles Kirby's Dream Land 2, Kirby's Dream Land 3, and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. Some people also call it the number series (数字シリーズ) and Shimomura Kirby (下村カービィ), referring to the director of these games, Shinichi Shimomura.
The 64 is only from the Nintendo 64, the hardware corresponding to the game, and it can be strictly defined as numbering only up to 3.
