Overview
Knack Productions (株式会社KnacK, Kabushikigaisha KnacK) or simply Knack (ナック, Nakku) is a Japanese animation production company founded in 1967 by Seiichi Nishino, Seiichi Hayashi, Sakuro Koyanagi, Sadao Tsukioka, and other groups of former employees of Toei Animation and Osamu Tezuka's Mushi Production.
The company became famous in recent years for Chargeman Ken!, an anime seen as awful in terms of drawing, direction, and storytelling. Although it did not do well in Japan, Attacker You! exploded in popularity in Italy and France, and had an unexpected influence on the creation of a professional volleyball league in Italy.
After 1996, the company withdrew from animation production and became involved in the production of V-Cinema and live action films.
In 2008, the company name was changed from Knack Productions to ICHI Corporation (株式会社ICHI, Kabushikigaisha ICHI).
