Overview
A Japanese animation production company founded by producer Masao Maruyama of Madhouse for the production of the movie "In a Corner of the World".
The company name is therefore an acronym for "Maruyama Animation Produce Project Association". In addition to its headquarters in Suginami-ku, the company has a branch office and a Sendai studio, and plans to establish a studio in Osaka.
The spotlight was on the drawing in Rage of Bahamut Genesis, and the subsequent productions such as In a Corner of the World and Yuri!!!onIce, he has emerged from creating high-quality works.
In 2021, MAPPA held "MAPPA STAGE 2021 -10th Anniversary-", an event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of MAPPA's establishment. This stage was also held again in 2023.
