Overview編集

Megas XLR (XLR = eXtra Large Robot) is an American animated television series. It is produced by Cartoon Network Studios and was originally scheduled to air in December 2003, but was postponed and aired on Cartoon Network's TOONAMI from May 1, 2004 to April 26, 2005. The show has never aired in Japan.

Created by Jody Schaeffer and George Krstic, this cartoon was influenced by Japanese animation. The opening theme (Chicks Dig Giant Robots) was by Ragtime Revolutionaries, but later versions featured the theme song by Deathwish 9.

The original title was Lowbrow, and the pilot was shown at Cartoon Network's Summer Festival in 2002, along with eight other cartoon pilots. It was postponed until May 1st, 2004, when Lowbrow was voted by viewers to be the top-rated cartoon and was retitled Megas XLR.

Currently, Megas XLR appears in DC Comics' Cartoon Network Action Pack as a comic book created by George Krstic, the co-creator of the comic.
