Overview

Michael Roa Valdamjong (ミハイル・ロア・バルダムヨォン, Mihairu Roa Barudamuyō) is the real mastermind behind the series of incidents in Tsukihime's story and is a bitter enemy of Arcueid Brunestud and Ciel.

Background

Originally born into a deeply religious country family, he was called a child prodigy by those around him.

However, he was despairing that his abundant desire for knowledge could not be fulfilled in his lifetime, so he sought to become a immortal.

He was a priest who became the founder of a burial class that pioneered the Burial Agency. He was a mere mortal who was a sorcerer who manipulated Arcueid to suck his blood truing him into a Dead Apostle. However, like Nrvnqsr Chaos, he has been in search for eternity by Arcueid, and has come up with the Law of Reincarnation (転生の法), an external law (a forbidden art that is kept under wraps).

Because he became a vampire from his "parent srouce" (the master or master to the mortals), who was the strongest True Ancestor, he quickly rose to prominence and joined the ranks of the Twenty-seven Dead Apostle Ancestors to unite their faction.

However, because of his excessive loyalty to his desires and his arrogance, he is despised by the other Twenty-seven Dead Apostle Ancestors as undignified and not recognized as a patriarch, and is treated as an outlier among the Twenty-seven Ancestors by the Holy Church (in the remake version, he is even less recognized because he does not have the fundamental blood commandment). The exception is Nrvnqsr Chaos, the 10th of the Twenty-seven Ancestors, with whom he is an ally. He had conducted joint research with him in the past, and from the conversation in Actress Again, it seems that they had met several times after their reincarnation.

He expanded his power while absorbing the other sealed groups of the Twenty-seven Ancestors, and at one point even defeated the Altrouge Brunestud, but was eliminated by Arcueid who had formed a joint front with the Holy Church. However, the Law of Reincarnation, which had been his goal, had already been completed, and he would continue to exist for the next 800 years, repeating reincarnation for 18 generations.

It has long been unclear how he is disliked by the Twenty-seven Ancestors, but in the remake, when Vlov Arkhangel realized that Ciel was Roa's reincarnation, he lost his cool and became enraged, so it seems he is disliked quite a bit (although Vlov may be superfluous since he was the one to kill his lord).

The last reincarnation was SHIKI Tohno, Shiki Tohno's brother-in-law, and before that, Ciel, who had a strong influence on the entire story. Roa also turned Satsuki Yumizuka into a Dead Apostle.

He was eventually completely destroyed by Shiki's Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, but he was later temporarily resurrected in Actress Again under the influence of TATARI, he began paying homage to those who had eliminated him.
