A TV Series based on Fujio Akatsuka's masterpiece "Osomatsu-kun" as a project to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the birth of Fujio Akatsuka.This is the first animation in 27 years since "Osomatsu-kun" (1988 version), and the third in the entire series.

In this work, an original story is drawn with the setting that the sextuplets have grown into adults. However, since some of the original settings are followed and some episodes are remade, strictly speaking, it is positioned as a side story of "Osomatsu-kun".

Incidentally, Fujio-Production is also in charge of supervising the content of the story.

Mr. Osomatsu JRA Special 2016

It was broadcast on December 13, 2016. In commemoration of the official collaboration with JRA, episodes including horse racing are drawn.

Mr. Osomatsu Spring National Senbatsu Screening

The event was held in theaters all over Japan from April 6, 2017. A masterpiece selection that picked up episodes related to each of the sextuplets from the 1st season was screened along with the episodes common to each room.

Later, the common episode was recorded in the bonus video of the 2nd season.

The episode 1 of the 1st season, which suddenly drew many parodies of popular works, the appearance of gorgeous voice actors, and the announcement that the episodes that will be described later will not be released, became a hot topic and became an unusual big hit.
- Later, it turned out that "Mr. Osomatsu" had generated an economic effect of about 7 billion yen in the six months when the 1st season was broadcast.
As a result of adding a lot of broadcasting stations due to its popularity, "Mr. Osomatsu" became a work that was broadcast on all TV station affiliates, including the independent station category.
- This is the third achievement following "Attack on Titan" and "Kantai Collection".
In the 1st season, the streaming of episode 1 "Osomatsu-kun Returns" and episode 3 "DEKAPAN MAN" (one of "Tidbits Collection") was canceled due to various reasons.
- For that reason, episode 3.5 is recorded as substitute episodes instead of those episodes not being recorded on both BD and DVD.
By the way, when the first season was rebroadcast, we took measures to broadcast from episode 2, and episode 3.5 was added to the lineup a few months after the disc was released.
- Furthermore, when the production of the 2nd season and "Mr. Osomatsu THE MOVIE" were decided, each broadcasting station rebroadcasted the main story.
