Silver Spoon (銀の匙) was first published in 2011 in Weekly Shonen Sunday and has went on to become one of Shogakukan's top-selling manga series.
Plot
Yugo Hachiken is an academic student from the city who is unsure of what his dream in life is. He decides to enroll in Yezo Agricultural High School, a school in the rural area, in the hopes of distancing himself from his family, especially his strict father.
However, he quickly discovers that studying in an agricultural school is not as easy as he initially thought it was. As he goes on with his studies in Yezo, he also learns how the agricultural life works and how it impacts his friends in school, while contemplating what he wants to be in his life.

He is a studious high school student from the city who decides to transfer to an agricultural high school.
Aki Mikage (御影アキ)
She is Hachiken's classmate at Yezo High and his love interest. She has a strong interest for horses.
Ichiro Komaba (駒場一郎)
He is Hachiken's classmate who seeks to become a baseball player in order to help his family's dairy farm business.
