Talents
- Normal Attack: Cutting Torrent
- Normal Attack: Performs up to 6 consecutive shots.
- Plunging Attack: Plunges from the air to the ground and deals AoE Hydro Damage on impact.
- Charged Attack: Performs a more precise shot that deals increased Damage. While aiming, Hydro energy accumulates on the arrowhead. A fully charged arrow will deal Hydro Damage to enemies on impact and also apply the Riptide status to the enemies.
Riptide: Opponents affected by Riptide will take from AoE Hydro Damage effects when attacked by Tartaglia in various ways. Damage dealt in this way is considered a Normal Attack Damage.
- Riptide Flash: A fully-charged Aimed Shot that hits an opponent affected by Riptide deals consecutive bouts of AoE Damage. Can occur once every 0.7s.
- Riptide Burst: Defeating an opponent affected by Riptide creates a Hydro burst that inflicts the Riptide status on nearby opponents hit.
- Elemental Skill: Foul Legacy: Raging Tide
You're mine!
Bring it on!
Enters the Melee Stance and dealing Hydro Damage to surrounding enemies. In this Stance:
- Normal Attack: Performs up to 6 consecutive Hydro shots.
- Charged Attack: Consumes Stamina and dealing Hydro Damage.
- Riptide Slash: Hitting an enemy affected by Riptide status with a melee attack unleashes a Riptide Slash that deals AoE Hydro Damage. Damage dealt in this way is considered Elemental Skill Damage, and can only occur once every 1.5 second.
After 30 seconds, or when the ability is unleashed again, this skill will end. Tartaglia will return to his Ranged Stance and this ability will enter cooldown. The longer Tartaglia stays in his Melee Stance, the longer the cooldown time. If the return to a ranged stance occurs automatically after 30 seconds, the cooldown is even longer.
- Elemental Burst: Havoc: Obliteration
Ranged Stance: Flash of Havoc
You can run, but you can't hide!
Fires a magic arrow and dealing AoE Hydro Damage and applying the Riptide status. After that, Tartaglia regains some of his spent Energy.
Melee Stance: Light of Obliteration
Shouldn't let your guard down!
Deals massive AoE Hydro DMG to all surrounding opponents, which triggers Riptide Blast.
Riptide Blast: When the obliterating waters hit an opponent affected by Riptide, it clears their Riptide status and triggers a Hydro Explosion that deals AoE Hydro Damage.
- 1st Ascension Passive: Never Ending
Extends Riptide duration by 8 seconds.
- 4th Ascension Passive: Sword of Torrents
When Tartaglia is in the Elemental Skill's Melee stance, on dealing a Critical hit, Normal and Charged Attacks apply the Riptide status effects to enenmies.
- Utility Passive: Master of Weaponry
If Tartaglia is in your party, your own party member's Normal Attack Level is increased by 1.
Personality
Tartaglia describes himself as "kind of a bad guy", living for the thrill of a fight and causing chaos. As a child, Tartaglia was frightened and hesitant, but he secretly desired to become an adventurer like the ones his father told him about as they fished together. After falling into The Abyss and meeting and training with Skirk, Tartaglia's personality drastically changed. Although he appears to relatively friendly on the surface, Tartaglia is a bloodthirsty warrior. The Abyss and his old master, Skirk, made him self-confident, solipsistic, and brash, thriving on the sensation of being alive. A warrior at heart, he constantly seeks ways to grow stronger, regardless of how he obtains said power. Tartaglia considers those who wish to become strong like him to be friends and takes pleasure in battling them on the battlefield. He lusts for combat and grows excited by fighting strong opponents, even if it could mean dying in the process. He uses bows because he is weakest with them, making his victories with them all the more exhilarating.
Because of his pride, Tartaglia is exceptionally reliable at accomplishing the tasks given to him, no matter how difficult they may be or if they go against his values. This, combined with his straightforward nature, makes him rather easy to manipulate. Despite disliking how his plan in Liyue Harbor could potentially harm innocents, he puts it into motion to fulfill his mission in Liyue — only to learn he was meant to fail as part of an even larger plan he was not privy to, much to his consternation.
Amongst the rest of the Harbingers, Tartaglia is considered an oddball. While his fellow Harbingers prefer clandestine operations and staying behind the scenes, Tartaglia favors being front and center. He is a public figure known for attending social gatherings and even participates as an actor in plays and theater. As a result, Tartaglia's coworkers are wary of him, while he holds them in disdain for their schemes and "intangible" methods. While he is easily capable of scheming, he only resorts to such approaches when necessary due to his straightforward nature. He also appears to treat his subordinates less harshly than the rest of the Harbingers, stating that he doesn't use lethal force against the recruits in his care nor does he threaten any of them.
Tartaglia dedicates himself to those he cares about wholeheartedly. He is unquestionably loyal to the Tsaritsa and holds her in high esteem, seeing himself as her weapon of war. He also cares deeply for his family; he sends money, gifts, and letters home often. Tartaglia is exceptionally proud of his three younger siblings and dotes on them frequently, especially his youngest brother Teucer — he is willing to lie and even put himself in mortal danger, so as long as it makes him happy. Although he was once on good terms with Zhongli (even allowing the former Archon to use him as financial support), he seems to have taken his deception personally, stating he will only forgive him if he agrees to trial by combat. Zhongli appears to be unaware of Tartaglia's change in opinion, being under the impression he will still meet him for drinks to catch up after the recent Liyue events.

That rascal from Snezhnaya has yet to depart from Liyue? No matter, just let me know if he gives you any trouble. I shall deal with the matter swiftly.
It's said that Childe and his reputation have yet again stirred up waves among the inner-ranks of the Fatui. Knowing his type, he will be sure to swiftly depose anyone who dares to challenge his actions. Hm... Come to think of it, there will be a lot of interesting news to be heard the next time we gather for drinks. Care to join me when the time comes, Traveler?
He's simple of mind and not that strong of body. Naming him to the lowest-ranked seat lowered the Harbingers' collective prestige. Thankfully, I'm no longer part of that group.
Only someone as dense as Childe would think The Rooster is looking after him and his family out of the goodness of his heart. Although the mayor has indeed done a number of things for their benefit, anyone with a brain would be able to tell that the underlying meaning is "your entire family is in my hands."
The Fatui harbinger? He helped me out once — unwittingly. I was planning a deep-reaching investigation into the former owner of the Yanshang Teahouse, but our harbinger friend got to him first. He showed up demanding payment of his debt, and also exposed his accounting fraud, which got him thrown in jail. That made it very easy for me to take over Yanshang Teahouse myself, and it's proven to be a very useful base.
Paimon: Musou no Hitotachi is amazing!
Paimon: It can beat any enemy with a single slash!
(Traveler): Uh, but for Childe, it might need three slashes...
Paimon: Y—Yeah!
Paimon: Anyway, if you mastered that technique, Paimon wouldn't have to worry about you for the rest of our journey!
(Traveler): So, where can one learn that technique?
Paimon: Yeah, where can one learn that technique?
(Traveler): Hm
Paimon: Quit looking at Paimon like that! O—Okay, Paimon will keep an eye on you during our adventures...
Paimon: Those Onikabuto bugs look so scary! The patterns on their backs are terrifying!
(Traveler): Do you mean those demonic patterns? It's because they don't like to fight, so they purposely evolved their patterns in a way that scares their enemies away.
Paimon: That's really smart. We should try to learn a thing or two from them!
Paimon: We could borrow Xiao's mask. If a hilichurl saw you wearing it, do you think they'd run in fear?
(Traveler): Uh... I don't think Xiao would agree to that...
Paimon: Yeah... Hmm, how about we ask Sayu to steal his mask for us?
Paimon: She knows ninjutsu that allows her to vanish into thin air. She can steal it for sure! Problem solved!
Paimon: Uh... If we are afraid of Xiao evening the score with us, how about we steal Childe's mask? We've kicked his butt many times before!
(Traveler): I don't think stealing other people's belongings is a good idea. Also, what if Sayu doesn't agree to all of this?
Paimon: Th—Then let's... Let's visit Albedo first.
Paimon: If Albedo can develop a growth serum for Sayu, she'll help us for sure!
(Traveler): Brilliant, now we just need you to come up with a way to make Albedo help us.
Paimon: Ugh! Paimon's head is going to explode. Let's stick to festival masks for now.
