Tekken

Tekken (鉄拳, lit. Iron Fist) is a fighting game series by Namco as well as the name of its first title released in 1994.

When the first game ran in arcades, it was overshadowed by the popularity of Sega's Virtua Fighter, but the home version, ported to the PlayStation, became widely known. The second title, Tekken 2, went on to sell one million copies.

Tekken 3, which is regarded by fans as the best in the series, brought Tekken to the attention of full-fledged competitive gaming, becoming a popular 3D fighting game on par with the Virtua Fighter series.
