Introduction

An upbeat and easygoing girl with a good sense of humor. Yuika dabbles in many different subcultures like fashion, anime and manga, and video games. Yuika’s stylish glasses and caps are her trademarks. Chief among Yuika’s many interests is her passion for idols. A devoted attendee of idol lives, idol festivals, and idol handshake events, when Yuika talks about idols you can see her eyes sparkle. Like many enthusiasts, Yuika has a habit of being unable to stop talking when asked about her favorite things. Yuika can think on her feet and her grades in university are quite impressive. Since she absorbs the material from her lectures easily, Yuika has plenty of free time to devote to her hobbies, like fashion. While others tend to take her carefree personality at face value, in reality Yuika is always keeping a watchful eye on the people around her, and is adept at reading situations and reacting accordingly. Yuika has trouble openly saying how she really feels, and chooses to play the social role of an easy-going joker to avoid needing to. She has been known to use humor to prevent awkwardness. In hope of better understanding the idols she loves so much, Yuika had already felt a vague longing to become an idol herself when she was scouted by Producer one day while taking shelter from the rain. Now, Yuika has taken the chance to become one of the very idols she always thought existed in a separate world from the one she did.

Description

Yuika is an upbeat glasses-wearing girl involved in a variety of hobbies - especially idols. She still feels disbelief towards becoming one of the idols she's admired as a fan for so long. She has a natural knack for reading people, and can get along with most anyone. Some of the other subcultures she's involved in are fashion, anime, and photography. In the "Mawaru Haguruma, Unmei no Toki" event, Yuika shows her mature and caring side. She can sense how the others are feeling and helps to encourage them. Mamimi wasn’t going to pick out a song to sing at karaoke, so Yuika pulled up one of Mamimi’s favorite songs to convince her to join. She is also the one to suggest customizing their outfits for the live. Everyone was disappointed with the dresses, but Yuika pumps them up with her idea. When the girls finally perform, Yuika is nervous and makes a small mistake, but everyone reassures her and they plan to improve next time.
