Outline

Hu Tao is a 5-Star playable Polearm Pyro character in Genshin Impact.

Hu Tao's antics and eccentricity belies her role as the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor and her talent as a poet. Nevertheless, she treats the parlor's operations with utmost importance, and holds funeral ceremonies with the highest dignity and solemnity.

Talents

  • Normal Attack: Secret Spear of Wangsheng

2021.9.9胡桃同人

  1. Normal Attack: Performs up to six consecutive spear strikes.
  2. Charged Attack: Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to lunge forward, dealing damage to opponents along the way.
  3. Plunging Attack: Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

  • Elemental Skill: Guide to Afterlife

Only an unwavering flame can cleanse the impurities of this world.

Hu Tao consumes a set portion of her HP to knock the surrounding enemies back and enter the Paramita Papilio state.

Paramita Papilio

  1. Increases Hu Tao's ATK based on her Max HP at the time of entering this state. ATK Bonus gained this way cannot exceed 400% of Hu Tao's Base ATK.
  2. Converts attack DMG to Pyro DMG, which cannot be overridden by any other elemental infusion.
  3. Charged Attacks apply the Blood Blossom effect to the enemies hit.
  4. Increases Hu Tao's resistance to interruption.
  5. Paramita Papilio ends when its duration is over, or Hu Tao has left the battlefield or fallen.

Blood Blossom

Enemies affected by Blood Blossom will take Pyro DMG every 4s. This DMG is considered Elemental Skill DMG.

Each enemy can be affected by only one Blood Blossom effect at a time, and its duration may only be refreshed by Hu Tao herself.

  • Elemental Burst: Spirit Soother

原神 胡桃

Commands a blazing spirit to attack, dealing Pyro DMG in a large AoE.

Upon striking the enemy, regenerates a percentage of Hu Tao's Max HP. This effect can be triggered up to 5 times, based on the number of enemies hit.

If Hu Tao's HP is below or equal to 50% when the enemy is hit, both the DMG and HP Regeneration are increased.

  • 1st Ascension Passive: Flutter By

When a Paramita Papilio state activated by Guide to Afterlife ends, all allies in the party (excluding Hu Tao herself) will have their CRIT Rate increased by 12% for 8s.

  • 4th Ascension Passive: Sanguine Rouge

When Hu Tao's HP is equal to or less than 50%, her Pyro DMG Bonus is increased by 33%.

  • Utility Passive: The More the Merrier

When Hu Tao cooks a dish perfectly, she has a 18% chance to receive an additional "Suspicious" dish of the same type.

Constellation

  • Level 1: Crimson Bouquet

While in a Paramita Papilio state activated by Guide to Afterlife, Hu Tao's Charge Attacks [sic] do not consume Stamina.

  • Level 2: Ominous Rainfall

Increases the Blood Blossom DMG by an amount equal to 10% of Hu Tao's Max HP at the time the effect is applied.

Additionally, Spirit Soother will also apply the Blood Blossom effect.

  • Level 3: Lingering Carmine

Increases the Level of Guide to Afterlife by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.

  • Level 4: Garden of Eternal Rest

Upon defeating an enemy affected by a Blood Blossom that Hu Tao applied herself, all nearby allies in the party (excluding Hu Tao herself) will have their CRIT Rate increased by 12% for 15s.

  • Level 5: Floral Incense

Increases the Level of Spirit Soother by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.

  • Level 6: Butterfly's Embrace

Triggers when Hu Tao's HP drops below 25%, or when she suffers a lethal strike:

Hu Tao will not fall as a result of the DMG sustained. Additionally, for the next 10s, all of her Elemental and Physical RES is increased by 200%, her CRIT Rate is increased by 100%, and her resistance to interruption is greatly increased.

This effect triggers automatically when Hu Tao has 1 HP left.

Can only occur once every 60s.

Personality

At first glance, Hu Tao appears to be a quirky and cheerful girl. She enjoys pranking people and despises sitting around and doing nothing, as she wishes to live her life to the fullest. Her eccentric and off-the-wall personality often leaves people with a negative impression of her, especially Qiqi, who states that she has a "punchable face" and should be stored in the fridge. In contrast, Xiao enjoys her sense of humor, finding it irritating but interesting.

On the other hand, when handling funerals and last rites, she becomes more solemn and constantly reminds her employees to never deviate from the client's requests. Due to the importance and traditions of the parlor's duties, she expresses a distaste towards people treating her or her employees with suspicion whenever they go to work at night.

Despite her negative impressions, Hu Tao is knowedgeable about the adepti and Liyue's past. She also suspects that Zhongli is an adeptus based on his demeanour. However, she usually keeps this a secret from those who are unaware for their own safety. Hu Tao accepts death as a natural part of life and tells others to enjoy their short lives. However, she is particularly eccentric about this in trying to bring as much death as possible for the sake of the parlor's success. She also loathes those who try to prolong their natural lifespan, such as Baizhu. She also appears to show a lack of interest in her Pyro Vision.

Character Mentions

The current overseer of the funeral parlor? Ahem. I cannot deal with that child.

Warm. Fake smile. Death. I despise Hu Tao.

Hu Tao? Her liveliness is irritating. Fortunately, she is also humorous, so you need not worry about her growing into a boring human.

原神まとめ

Ah yes, the young lady who is now the Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. If you're asking what I think about her as a person... Well, there are all sorts of rumors about the way she works. But I think if you really want to understand someone, you need to find out what they are really after.

🔥💧

The Wangsheng Funeral Parlor is a reputable institution that acts with integrity. But whenever I see that cheeky smile that says, "It's nothing you exorcists need to worry about," it just makes my blood boil... Whoa, deep breaths, Chongyun. Stay calm.

Is Hu Tao picking on you too? Ugh, that prankster always waits till I least expect it, creeps up on me from behind and then... Boo! ...then laughs herself silly. Hmph. But I can handle it, and she does bring me fermented plum blossoms once in a while so I can make flower cakes... so I don't hold a grudge.

I often see her wandering in the woods singing strange songs. Actually, I must have heard all of her songs several times each by now. I'm used to her singing, but I still find it strange. That being said, I don't hate it either.

I always hear people saying that the director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor has an unorthodox approach to business. They think she's gone a little non compos mentis after being in the funeral business so long... What are these people talking about? The Wangsheng Funeral Parlor provides a legitimate and necessary service, which is the cornerstone of any successful enterprise. Work is just work — there are no good and bad jobs, or lucky and unlucky jobs, just jobs that need doing.

原神まとめ9YanTao

If I had one gripe, it would be that the director rarely comes to me for legal advice, hmph...

I've no clue what she's thinking, going around looking all happy-clappy like that when she's the head of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. Always greets me cheerily too, saying "I like people who play with fire, they're good for business" or somethin' like that... She's a bit bizarre, I tell you.

海灯音乐节

Ah yes, Hu Tao. Very expressive face, and she has a sharp mind too — you can be discussing the most mundane thing in the world, and she'll always bring out a string of witty remarks. I admire her a lot. There's never a dull moment when you have friends like her around.
