Overview
April (4月, shigatsu, lit. fourth month) is the fourth month of the year. It is mainly the month of the beginning of the new fiscal year and the beginning of deliberations on related bills after the Budget Committee's passage in the regular National Diet session.
This is a particularly important month for school-related issues, as everything switches over in April.
Many athletes, especially professional athletes, tend to be born in April.
