November (11月, jūichigatsu, lit. "eleventh month") is the eleventh month of the year in late autumn. Sometimes considered a winter season according to the calendar. In warmer areas, it is moderately cool, but in colder areas, snow begins to fall.

On an annual basis, March and February of a normal year fall on the same day of the week.

This is because the previous month, October, is on the same day as January, and both January and October last until the 31st of the month.
